Custom Denim Care Tips

Your custom denim jacket doesn’t require heavy/frequent washing. Spot cleaning may work best for small stains. However, when it is time to give it a good overall clean I recommend the following:

STEAM

  • Steaming your jacket with plain distilled water is the preferred cleaning method. 
  • Steam first from the inside out. Then again from the outside in. 
  • Avoid direct contact near painted areas.
  • Hold steamer about 1-2 inches away from fabric surface. 
  • Multiple passes may be required. 
  • Let hang dry for about an hour, or until completely dry, in a non-humid place. (preferably indoors)


WASH 

  • Take a picture then Remove Brooches, Pins, and loose accessories. (Some accessories are glued, so carefully check before tugging) 
  • Place in laundry bag. 
  • Wash cold on gentle cycle using mild detergent. 
  • Hang or lay flat to dry. (Tossing in dryer is not recommended.) 
  • DO NOT IRON. 
  • Reapply brooches, pins and loose accessories according to the picture you took previously. 
  • Wear with confidence.


STORE 

  • Hang on thick or padded hanger
